Under the auspicious guidance and supervision of Ustad-ul-Hadith Hazrat Maulana Mufti Muneer Ahmed Akhoon (Damat barakatuhum) Darul Uloom Zakariyya, New York was established as the educational wing of Al-Muneer Foundation Inc. It has been named in the memory of Baraktul Asr Qutb-ul-Alam Hazrat Maulana Muhammad Zakariyya Kandhailvi (Quddisasirrahu).

It is the first full-time Islamic educational facility providing both religious and academic studies especially for girls. The curriculum includes meticulous memorization of Holy Quran, complete 5 year Dars-e-Nizami Alim program, and academic education from grade 1 to high school.

The system of education at Darul Uloom Zakariyya has been designed by Hazrat Mufti Muneer A. Akhoon (DB) so that girls not only benefit from the excellent academics (Taleem) but also at the same time get the best upbringing (Tarbiyah). Hence, the students are thought various skills like cooking, stitching, hena design, household chores, and other activities.

Various events are organized to enhance and develop the student’s personality such as Qiraat competitions, Speech contests, trips to libraries, and museums.
